UPDATE: The South Lake Tahoe Police Department (SLTPD) has updated the initial report of an armed robbery at the Chevron Gas Station on Wednesday evening. The suspect, later identified as William Ehlers, entered the gas station at approximately 3:30 p.m.and held the clerk at gunpoint.

At approximately 3:30 p.m., a man entered the Chevron station at 2304 Lake Tahoe Blvd. and took two items from the cooler to the front counter to be purchased.
