I mean, as you say, victor, there s a lot of people before the screening point. the same people that go through the screening point and are on the other side. it seems what we have right now is a system in place that isn t interested in protecting the people 100% of the time. it s protecting the airplanes. if we want to protect the people in the airport, you need to move the screening points out to the curb. it s easy to then have a long, linear place where individual disline up, none of the serpentine stuff in front of the point, that represents a congested target for an improvised explosive device. so if you want to protect the people, you need to move the screening forward. and some sort of spot checks that we did do right after 9/11, a little further out from the actual curb even at the major airports. so i think i m encouraged that the pistol, the tsa is heading to l.a.x. as i understand, and i know these things will be in discussion. ....

Children have been used to move grenades and guns through screening points. that happened in july 4th in 2000 in amman, jordan, and the father of those children, subsequently, tried to highjack the airplane and was killed by an air marshall, but the grenade in his hand detonated and injured several people. so it is a legitimate concern. but this case, over the day before yesterday i believe it was, appears to be a tsa screener acting on a standard process without the option for any independent judgment and the tsa head, john pistole, has been trying to solve that problem, but is constrained by congressional constraints. yeah. they say that they can t take a cookie cutter approach to this. sunry in, this little girl s parents are saying she was traumatized. she was very upset. you teach your children strangers aren t supposed to touch you and then in these cases strangers are touching ....

Harris: i m harris faulkner at the breaking news desk, want to tell you about what s going on at longless international los angeles international airport. a security breach just outside the airport. lax officials, just getting off the phone with them. they told me that a tsa agent was checking out a woman who had a very large bottle of liquid, turns out it was medication. while the agent was gone searching for a supervisor, the woman walked away. not walked away, excuse me, left. she was waiting to be screened, and she left the premises, and they had to shut down those terminal screening points while they could find her. and the area where it was crosses three different terminals, and all of those security check points leaving ....
