Justice Kausik Chanda observed that the Leader of Opposition in West Bengal assembly will have no restriction in visiting Sandeshkhali. However, the HC directed Adhikari to inform the court about the areas he wants to visit in Sandeshkhali.
The order stated that it is being issued in the backdrop of several incidents affecting public peace and order in and around bars, permit rooms and restaurants.
Mamata Banerjee noted that not a single woman in Sandeshkhali has lodged any FIR and it was she who had directed the police to initiate a suo motu case in this connection.
