A TOTAL of 1,309 new Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday with Kuala Lumpur (KL) reporting the highest number of cases at 493, followed by Sabah (290) and Selangor (238).Health DG Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the new figure brings the cumulative number of positive cases in the country to 64,485, of which 11,481 are active.“Of the total number of new cases, there was one import case from abroad, while 1,308 cases were from local transmissions,” he said in a statement yesterday.He said 1,333 patients recovered and were discharged yesterday, taking the total number of recovered case...

THE government has decided to enforce the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) at the Selangor Mansion and Malayan Mansion buildings in Jalan Masjid India here, effective today.Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakon said the decision to execute the fourth directive of the EMCO was made upon the advice of the Ministry of Health (MOH) after 15 positive cases of COVID-19 were recorded at the two buildings.He said the EMCO involving around 6,000 residents in 365 residential and commercial units in the building, takes effect from today until all residents are screened.
