Apr 1, 2021 4:47 AM Two people suffered smoke inhalation in a Fond du Lac fire. Officials say they were treated at the scene and then taken to a hospital. Crews were called to a large apartment building in the 800 block of Security Drive around 6 p.m. yesterday. The building was being evacuated and firefighters were able to quickly knock down the fire, but not before it caused significant damage to one unit. A flare up of cooking grease is believed to have caused the fire.
