Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Tuesday dissolved the HP Staff Selection Commission after the state government suspended it two months back.

The process of selecting candidates for 4,147 posts in various government departments is stuck ever since the suspension of Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission’s working on December 22 last year following a paper leak scam.

In two consecutive recruitment cycles, 2015 and 2018, the Union government has left thousands of seats vacant without stating why. Meanwhile, thousands of qualified candidates remain unemployed.

NEW DELHI, Jan 20 : As a new breakthrough, the Central Services exam will now be conducted in 15 languages instead of only in Hindi and English as had been the practice for many years. These will include different regional languages including Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Assamese, Bengali,Gujarati, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi and Urdu.
