Mayor Peckford And Council Extend Condolences To Victims Of Oxford Mills Fire SHARE ON: (Photo courtesy Grenville County OPP) North Grenville’s Mayor is extending her condolences following the fatal fire in Oxford Mills that saw four people killed. The Grenville OPP were called out to assist North Grenville firefighters on Sunday to a fire on Stone Road in Oxford Mills Township. Police say that the fire completely engulfed the building. Mayor Nancy Peckford called the fire catastrophic, as she extended her sympathies on behalf of council. “On behalf of myself, Councillor Strackerjan, Emergency and Protective Services Liaison, and my Council colleagues, we would like to offer our sincere and heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the victims,” Peckford said. “Please know our hearts are with you during this difficult and seemingly impossible time.” ....
