MADISON, Wis. — A severe thunderstorm watch is now in effect for most of Wisconsin until 2 a.m. Thursday morning.
The National Weather Service issued the watch a 7:15 p.m. Wednesday for several counties, including Adams, Columbia, Dane, Dodge, Green, Iowa, Jefferson, Juneau, Lafayette, Richland, Rock, Sauk, and Walworth Counties in southern Wisconsin.

The Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been extended to the west to include southeast Minnesota until 2 AM CDT. A line of thunderstorms in Wisconsin is building back to the west and may clip parts of Minnesota tonight. The main concern is for damaging wind gusts and heavy rainfall. Our KIMT StormTeam 3 meteorologists are monitoring the situation will alert of any imminent severe weather.

CORNWALL, Ontario – Environment Canada has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the Cornwall area on Sunday, July 25, 2021.
“Conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing damaging wind gusts and large hail,” reads a statement from Environment Canada. “Thunderstorms over Quebec are expected to intensify as they move southeastward towards extreme eastern Ontario. Quarter size hail and wind gusts to 90 km/h are possible. The severe weather threat should end after 9 PM EDT.”

DETROIT – Welcome to Saturday, Motown.
Nasty thunderstorms have a good chance or rocking much of Southeast Michigan Saturday evening, especially before midnight. As storms pass, it remains warm overnight. More tolerable humidity will be in place tomorrow, but it will be even hotter than today under some intense sunshine. It continues to feel like summer early next week, too.
The National Weather Service has a slight risk of strong to severe storms with heavy downpours, frequent lightning and damaging wind and hail Saturday afternoon and evening.

Severe Thunderstorm Watch In Effect For Region, With Damaging Winds, Large Hail Possible


A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for a large portion of the Northeast.
It was issued just before noontime and is in effect until 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 21.
Damaging wind gusts and large hail are the main threat, the National Weather Service said in issuing the watch.
"We're already beginning to see storms develop and move into the area," the National Weather Service said at 12:10 p.m.
Torrential downpours, frequent lightning, and flash flooding are all possible.

In eastern and east-central Montana, there are going to be some scattered rain showers and thunderstorms around before midnight tonight, and then there are going to be some isolated rain showers and thunderstorms around after midnight tonight. There is also a Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect until 11pm tonight for parts of eastern and east-central Montana as some of the thunderstorms that develop this evening and early tonight may be severe with damaging wind gusts, large hail, frequent lightning, and/or brief heavy rainfall.
In western and west-central Montana, mostly clear skies and dry conditions are expected tonight. It is also going to be cool tonight in central Montana as lows are going to be in the upper 40s and low to mid 50s, and it is going to be mild tonight in eastern Montana as lows are going to be in the mid 60s. Breezy conditions are also expected this evening in central Montana and along the Hi-Line as sustained wind speeds are going to be between 10 and 25 mph.

PHILADELPHIA - The National Weather Service has issued severe thunderstorm watches and warnings as a band of strong storms move across the Delaware Valley Saturday evening.
The area-wide Severe Thunderstorm Watch will be in effect until 11 p.m., according to the weather service. Forecasters warn of strong wind gusts up to 70 MPH and possible bouts of hail to accompany rain, thunder and lightning.
The first cluster of storms triggered brief Severe Thunderstorm Warnings in parts of the region on Saturday afternoon, including Philadelphia and parts of New Jersey. Forecasters anticipate the severe weather warnings will become more widespread and continue off-and-on throughout the night.

NEW YORK - Strong, potentially dangerous thunderstorms rolled through the tri-state region on Saturday, bringing dangerous winds and flash flood warnings.
New York City and much of the tri-state region is under a severe thunderstorm watch that will last until 11 p.m. for much of the region, with the National Weather Service warning of 60 mph wind gusts and quarter-sized hail.

The storms brought warnings of possible isolated tornadoes earlier in the day in Hunterdon, Richmond and Middlesex Counties in New York and New Jersey, but the warnings were canceled soon after they were issued.
