AMD’s 3 rd Generation EPYC, also known as Milan, offers up to 64 of the latest generation Zen 3 cores in a single socket, with 128 PCIe 4.0 lanes, eight channel DDR4-3200 memory, and a new raft of performance optimized variants combined with new security features. Leading AMD’s efforts in this space is Forrest Norrod, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Datacenter and Embedded Solutions Business Group (formerly Enterprise, Embedded, and Semi-Custom Group, EESC).
