Stir against corruption ostensibly against former BJP government of Rajasthan, but Congress sees it as a move to embarrass ruling dispensation headed by Ashok Gehlot
Congress leader Sachin Pilot will go ahead with his daylong fast on Tuesday to press for his demand for action against corruption during the previous BJP rule in Rajasthan, with sources close to him saying his fight is against graft under the Vasundhara Raje regime and not targeted at anyone else.
Despite a warning issued to him by the Congress, former Rajasthan deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot sat on a daylong fast at the Shaheed Smarak in Jaipur on Tuesday, demanding action in cases of alleged corruption related to the previous Bharatiya Janata Party government in the state led by Vasundhara Raje.
"Despite my letters to CM, our Cong govt did not take any action on Raje's corruption cases" Pilot had told a presser.
Pilot was speaking to reporters after ending the fast at the Shaheed Smarak here. He sat on the fast from 11 am to 4 pm.
