Car Sales In Fy24: Top three carmakers Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, and Tata Motors said they have recorded their highest-ever wholesales during FY24. Sales of two wheelers (2Ws) grew double-digits. However, the dispatch numbers for certain commercial vehicle (CV) makers were in red.
So, actually we have added stock in the industry. The industry stock end of March is roughly around 310,000. We started the year with only about 204,000 or 205,000 stock, but it is still close to the 30-day inventory.
Domestic Car Sales: Car sales in India soared by 9% to 4.23 million units last fiscal, driven by SUV demand. Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai Motor India, Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, and MG Motor India all reported significant sales growth across various segments. Around 370,000 cars, sedans and utility vehicles were sold last month, compared to 336,000 units in the year-ago period, making it the 15th consecutive month that PV sales have breached previous monthly records.
