Death end re;Quest officially announced for Switch, launches on Dec. 24th in Japan

Earlier today, a Switch port of Death end re;Quest was teased by Compile Heart. Now, we have official confirmation and details thanks to a new listing on the Japanese Nintendo eShop. Launching next week on December 24th, the RPG is currently available for pre-purchasing, with a 20% discount (¥3,800) being offered until January 19th. A western release has yet to be confirmed, but it's likely inevitable due to the existence of a localization published by Idea Factory on other platforms.

The tweet shows a partial image of the female protagonist Shina Ninomiya. The message said, “デ**ク coming to Sw**c*.” You can fill in the blanks with “デスリク” (“Desu Riku,” short for “Desu endo rikuesuto”) for the first part and “Switch” for the second part. It doesn’t usually take Compile Heart that long to announce something after showing a teaser, so more information should arrive in the coming days.
