Saying late this evening we could potentially see two inches an hour around pittsburgh. they're calling for no more than 7 or 8 inches. so they have decreased those snow amounts, but pittsburgh, what makes it different than other major cities experiencing this weather is city officials as recently as friday recognized that during the last major snow event, which was maybe a week and a half ago, that their response fell short and basically did not anticipate a refreeze event, so there were many side streets that became a frozen mess, paralyzing neighborhoods and forcing school cancellations. we...

Urging residents of the state to simply stay home as of yesterday because, again, that precipitation continues to come down. the big challenge in pittsburgh, laura, has been to try to keep the streets clear. we had a major snow event at the beginning of the month here and the city recognized their response fell short. many side streets became a frozen mess. they did not anticipate a refreezing event so the big challenge and focus is trying to keep these roads and highways clear should the temperature of course plummet as we expect to see throughout much of the affected areas. the big issue her...
