Sangli (Maharashtra) [India], June 25 (ANI): About 112 people have lost their lives in rain-related incidents, 99 still missing in Maharashtra till Saturday night, said the Relief and Rehabilitation Department.
As per the state government's data, about 1 lakh 35 thousand people have been evacuated from the flood-affected areas.
"As per the data of July 24 at 9.30 pm, about 1 lakh 35 thousand people have been evacuated from the flood-affected areas. A total of 112 deaths have been reported and 3221 animals have died. A total of 53 people were injured and 99 are missing," said Relief and Rehabilitation Department.
Meanwhile, floodwater has entered the roads and fields, submerging many areas of the Sangli district in Maharashtra.

New Delhi: The Indian Metrological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in parts of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on July 25-26.
Rainfall activity will increase over the north Indian plains and hills from July 25.
“Fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy falls (are) likely over Uttarakhand during July 25-28; Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and West Uttar Pradesh during July 26-28, and Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh on July 27 and 28,” the IMD said.

Riyadh : Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on Saturday sent a message of condolences to President Ram Nath Kovind over deaths in floods that hit Maharashtra,
leaving several dead and scores injured. King Salman offered his condolences to families of the victims and Indian citizens, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured, Saudi Gazette reported citing the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salmanalso sent a similar message to President Kovind. Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday visited the flood-affected Chiplun and met officials and local representatives to assess the extent of damage and ongoing relief operation.
As many as 112 people lost their lives in rain-related incidents while 99 were still missing in Maharashtra till Saturday night, the Relief and Rehabilitation Department said. A total of 53 people were injured and 3,221 animals have died.

Parts of Raigad, Ratnagiri districts in the coastal Konkan region and Kolhapur district in western Maharashtra, have been worst affected by the floods.
