As the South Africa went onto Adjusted Alert Level 2 on Monday, the country’s latest Covid-19 statistics show that 3 755 new cases of the virus were reported on Sunday coupled with 76 new deaths.

Active Covid-19 cases in the country have edged closer to the 50 000 mark.

South Africa has recorded 3 755 new Covid-19 cases, according to the latest statistics by the Department of Health.

There were 4,515 new cases picked up in the latest 24-hour cycle, which brought the country’s known caseload to more than 1,659,000.
