January 21, 2021 It looks like the Sonoma Marin Area Rail Transit will have some new leadership. Yesterday, Sonoma County Supervisor David Rabbitt was selected to lead the 12-member body for the North Bay’s rail line. Rabbitt, who has been a SMART director for eight years, was chosen in a 10-0 vote. He will have a two-year term as chair. Officials also voted to appoint Barbara Pahre for another term as vice chair. While this might sound like rocket science at first, the idea behind this project is much simpler.
