FAR Ltd has concluded the drilling and formation evaluation operations for the Bambo-1ST1 well offshore The Gambia. Although no moveable oil was interpreted, FAR is encouraged to have encountered good oil shows and potential reservoirs in the Bambo-1 well and Bambo-1ST1 side-track.
Petroliam Nasional Bhd's (Petronas) joint venture (JV) partner FAR Ltd reported that drilling operation has been temporarily suspended at the Bambo-1 well located 85km offshore of Gambia, a small West African country bounded by Senegal, after significant fluid losses were experienced.
“We are encouraged by the presence of oil in potential reservoirs and look forward to completing the well in the coming weeks,” says MD.
