New community group looking to improve Galesburg's south side
Inspired by the Galesburg On Track initiative, a new community group is looking to address challenges and promote vibrancy on Galesburg's South Side. The Southside Task Force plans on tackling several initiatives in the hope to enhance the neighborhoods on the southern side of Galesburg. Currently the group consists of neighborhood leaders and includes representatives from Knox College, G&M Distributors, United Way of Knox County, the Galesburg Community Foundation, Knox County Area Partnership for Economic Development, VNA Community Services and several other entities.
