The Masked Singer Season 5 promised major twists, and it has delivered. Not only did the Wild Card round see four new contestants join the competition in the middle, it also had a new host (Niecy Nash stepped in for the first five episodes of the season after Nick Cannon tested positive for COVID-19) and saw Cannon himself step into one of the show's iconic costumes as a (now-eliminated) Wild Card contestant.

Tyrese Gibson may be one of the most competitive contestants to ever appear on “The Masked Singer.” How committed was he to the show’s guessing game? He frequently threw out incorrect clues, claiming to be 30 years older or hailing from Central America.

Fast & Furious star Tyrese Gibson was unmasked as the singer Robopine on Wednesday's episode of The Masked Singer.
The entire panel cheered as he pulled off his spiky headgear and revealed the thousand-watt smile that made him famous.

The fifth season of “The Masked Singer” aired its special two-hour Super 8 episode Wednesday, bringing together the remaining contestants from Groups A and B for the first time and ending with two unmaskings.
The supersized episode featured performances by Russian Doll(s), Seashell, Robopine (f.k.a. Porcupine), Yeti, Chameleon, Black Swan, Piglet and Crab.
