ACC reports 74% rise in profit for the 1Q21

India’s ACC (LafargeHolcim) has reported a 74 per cent rise in net profit for the first quarter of 2021, rising to INR5.63bn (US$75.33m) from INR3.23bn in the year-ago period. EBITDA also advanced 47 per cent YoY to INR8.6bn.
Revenue from sales surged 23 per cent YoY to INR42.13bn from INR34.33bn in the 1Q20. In particular, cement sales increased 22 per cent YoY to 8Mt and cement prices were up six per cent to INR4876/t.
As a result of its strong performance, the company has recorded its highest ever revenue and operating EBIT.

ACC consolidated Q4 PAT up 74% to Rs 563 cr on highest ever revenue surge

ACC Limited reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 563 crore in the March quarter, up 74 per cent from the same period last year on the back of increased revenues.
The top line in the period under review stood at Rs 4,213 crore, up 23 per cent from the same period last year.
"This quarter, we delivered the highest ever revenue and operating EBIT (earnings before interest and taxes). Our cost efficiency project ‘Parvat’ is on track and has helped in managing some continuing cost headwinds," Sridhar Balakrishnan, managing director and chief executive officer was quoted as saying.
The company’s operating EBIT margin in the March quarter stood at 17 per cent from 10 per cent in the corresponding period last year. Meanwhile, the operating EBIT was at Rs 717 crore in March quarter, up 86 per cent from last year.

ACC, one of the largest cement producers, reported that its net profit in the March quarter was up 74 per cent at ₹563 crore against ₹323 crore logged in the same period last year, mainly on better realisation.
Revenue from sales increased 23 per cent to ₹4,213 crore (₹3,433 crore). Cement sales during the quarter under review was up 22 per cent at 8 million tonne while EBITDA jumped 47 per cent to ₹860 crore.
Power and fuel cost was down by ₹83 per tonne to ₹999 while logistics expenses dipped by ₹32 to ₹1,308 per tonne. The cost savings and lower employee cost pushed up EBITDA per tonne to ₹1,028 (₹798).

Cement maker ACC Ltd on Monday reported a 74.2 per cent year-on-year (YoY) increase in its consolidated net profit at Rs 563 crore during January-March quarter of 2021 on over 21 per cent rise in cement sales volume.
The LafargeHolcim Group company's net sales rose 22.7 per cent YoY to Rs 4,213 crore during the quarter ended March. ACC follows January-December financial year.

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], Apr 19 (ANI): Cement manufacturer ACC Ltd said on Monday its profit after tax rose by 74 per cent to Rs 563 crore in the January to March quarter as compared to Rs 323 crore in the same quarter of previous fiscal.
The company follows January to December as the fiscal year. Net sales during Q1 FY21 increased by 23 per cent to Rs 4,213 crore as compared to Rs 3,433 crore in Q1 FY20.
The operating earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) for the quarter was Rs 860 crore as against Rs 586 crore in Q1 FY20, up 47 per cent.

The country's leading cement manufacturer - ACC - on Monday reported net profit of Rs 563 crore in quarter ended March 2021, that marked an increase of 74 per cent from profit of Rs 323 crore during the same quarter last year. Its revenue from sales rose 23 per cent to Rs 4,213 crore against Rs 3,433 crore in the year ago period.
During the quarter ACC registered sales volume of 6.97 million tonnes compared with 6.56 million tonnes in the March quarter of 2020.
The company's operating profit or earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) jumped 47 per cent to Rs 860 crore and operating profit margin or EBITDA margin improved by 330 basis points to 20.4 per cent from 17.1 per cent in the year ago period.
