It is expected that the issue on 18-months DA arrears would be discussed with the cabinet secretary before Christmas.
It is being said that the central government employees will get a 3% DA hike for the month of June which basically adds up to 31% instead of 28%.
Highlights This decision was taken at a recently concluded high-level meeting on June 26. The central government employees were expecting their DA in the month of July, but now they have to wait for two more months to avail of the benefits. The government had further clarified that no arrears will be given from January 1, 2021 till June 30, 2021.
