Strong’s Kaiden McHenry-Jones blew away the field Wednesday in the 110-meter hurdles, claiming the event title in the 1A State Track & Field Championships at Lincoln.
El Dorado won the state track championships last year in both boys and girls. The teams head to Lake Hamilton on Thursday to try and do it again in the 5A State Track & Field Championships.

Friday’s Class 1A, 3A, and 5A events for the MHSAA State Track & Field Championship Meet have been postponed for a date to be determined. Saturday's Class 2A, 4A, and 6A events are still scheduled
Parkers Chapel’s Kallie Martin accomplished a double, three-peat at the 2A State Track & Field Championships Tuesday in Quitman. The junior did it in record-setting fashion. Martin went 17-1 to win the long jump title for the third year in a row. And, she set a new 2A state record with a 37-0¾ in the triple jump for her third state title in that event.
Strong had its fingertips on state track championships the last two seasons, only to see another team take them home. The Bulldogs will give it another shot on Wednesday when they compete in the 1A State Track & Field Championships in Lincoln.
