Hundreds of pensioners in Kano State on Thursday staged a peaceful protest at Government House, demanding their retirement benefits from Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s administration. A video of the protest seen by SaharaReporters on Thursday shows the pensioners marching towards the Government House, chanting solidarity songs. The senior citizens displayed placards with various inscriptions such as "Pensioners Are Sick" and "His Excellence...Islam Pay Us Our Retirement Benefits," appealing to Governor Ganduje to pay their retirement entitlements.
