From the haka to the huddle - why Dominic McKay could be just the right man to rebuild stricken Celtic
WHEN Scottish Rugby were pushing for Murrayfield to become the new home of football in this country back in 2018, they embarked on something of a charm offensive to promote their bid.
As part of that process, a group of football writers was invited through to Edinburgh to play a match against their staff at the magnificent 67,144 capacity stadium.
Their thinking was it would allow us to experience first hand what a fine venue it would be for Scotland internationals and cup semi-finals and finals.

The Celtic board must end this grim Groundhog Day at Parkhead once and for all and look to a new dawn

THE annual Groundhog Day celebrations made famous by the 1993 Bill Murray movie will be held in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, tomorrow.
But Celtic have, just like Murray in the romantic comedy, been reliving the same nightmarish 24 hours over and over again for many, many months now.
And it has been no laughing matter.
The defeat they suffered to St Mirren on Saturday – their first to the Paisley club at Parkhead in nearly 31 years – followed an all-too-familiar script.
The reigning Scottish champions failed to perform at an acceptable level in any department, conceded a goal as a result of some slapstick defending by Shane Duffy and slumped to an ignominious loss.

Peter Lawwell began the season with dreams of helping boyhood club Celtic extend their dominance of the Scottish Premiership to a remarkable 10th successive year.
But, just as the Hoops are almost certain to relinquish their stranglehold on the title to bitter rivals Rangers, he will finish it with his personal grip on power at an end.
The 61-year-old is set to retire as chief executive in the summer after 17 hugely successful years at Parkhead.
#CelticFC today announced that Chief Executive Peter Lawwell has decided to retire from his position at the end of June 2021, having held this role for the past 17 years.
