there s a lot of things going on with the strike, the strike comes down to two things, residuals from dreamers and streamers don t report their streams very well to producers and therefore actors so they can t make residuals. the whole industry has changed so streaming didn t used to be the thing, it used to be networks and television you knew what you were getting. streamers have changed, my son is 23 and doesn t watch anything on regular tv, he streams everything. my 12-year-old stream everything and thus the future and no more real deal for that so that is legitimate. ai being responsible for your name and likeness and voice, absolutely huge. you need that. actors are trying to get them to come in and paid $100 for the day and put them in the background. i don t think it s a great thing, there s something to be dealt with in the ai. ....
