The 12-storey towers were declared structurally unsafe by IIT Delhi last year. After this, the DDA had asked the 1,200-1,300 residents to vacate the premises. Once they vacate, DDA will make preparations for the demolition of the towers.
Officials said that during the review of the report it was found that Tower H was “unsafe for human habitation” and should be vacated within 15 days.
The Authority plans to complete the demolition of the 12-storey structures by June-July 2024.
