Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a review meeting on Joshimath relief work with officials on Thursday at the state secretariat and said that he is monitoring the situation every day.
Almost 35 per cent of the affected people of Joshimath are ready to shift to accommodations being offered by the government in Pipalkoti, sources said.
The Uttarakhand government has distributed an amount of Rs 2.85 crore to 190 families affected by land subsidence as advance for displacement, said Disaster Management Secretary Ranjit Kumar Sinha on Monday.
In the wake of the land subsidence crisis in the Joshimath area of Uttarakhand's Chamoli, the dismantling of Hotel Malari Inn is underway on Sunday, as per official sources.
