Big summer planned in Janesville
May 3, 2021 The city of Janesville’s recreation department is anticipating this spring and summer’s activity guide to be very popular. Recreation Director Shelly Slapak says after a year of COVID many facilities will be reopening. Slapak says the pandemic has also renewed an interest in outdoor activities. She says several new programs are being offered including a playground challenge, an outdoor mural hunt, and the permanent story walk. A copy of the city’s new Spring and Summer Activity Guide can be found on the recreation department’s page of the city’s website.
