Siemens Ltd has received an order for 1,200 locomotives of 9000 horsepower from Indian Railways, marking the single largest locomotive order in the history of Siemens Mobility and single largest order in the history of Siemens in India.
Siemens Limited will design, manufacture, commission and test the locomotives. Deliveries are planned over an eleven-year period, and the contract includes 35 years of full service maintenance.
Board recommends dividend of Rs10/- per share (500%).
For the fourth quarter of Financial Year 2022 ended September 30, 2022, Siemens Limited registered a Revenue from continuing operations of Rs. 4,237 crore, an 11% increase over the same quarter in the preceding year.
New Orders from continuing operations stood at Rs 4,009 crore, registering a 25 per cent increase over the same period last year. The company's order backlog from continuing operations is Rs 17,183 crore, it noted.
