JOHNSBURY — Residents at the St. Johnsbury Health & Rehabilitation center sat in chairs near their windows, or from their beds, and waved at a group of local students who set out last week to spread holiday cheer. They dressed as elves, and some wore reindeer antlers. Isolated since the pandemic began, nursing home residents have been hit the hardest and are the most vulnerable.
