There wasn’t a lot of positivity to come out of Super LV for the Kansas City Chiefs. It was a ugly game and there’s no need to rehash any of that. However, shortly after the game ended, the Chiefs were already slotted as the betting favorites to get back to the Super Bowl — and win it — in 2022.

Patrick Mahomes Is Going to Be Treated Like LeBron James — You May as Well Enjoy It - Sports Illustrated Kansas City Chiefs News, Analysis and More

Patrick Mahomes is already being forced to play by a different set of rules. When the Kansas City Chiefs lost Super Bowl LV to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Narrative Machine began whirring into action for some of the world's speediest sports media talking heads, hot-take artists, and under-informed social media savants. The results were predictable.
Did Mahomes throw his teammates under the bus? (No.) Was Mahomes actually to blame for the offensive line's most disastrous snaps? (Did you watch the game?) Is this a sign of Mahomes' impending regression? (Wait, what? No. Are you kidding? No.)
As a part of an effort to not give extra oxygen to some of the sports world's worst takes, I won't be citing my sources from that list, but if you rummage through Twitter for long enough, you'll find that these are all

Patrick Mahomes After Losing Super Bowl LV: 'We're Going to Be Back'

Feb 10, 2021
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes isn't waiting to turn to the future after losing Super Bowl LV to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Mahomes says the Chiefs' attitude is already set: they're going to be back.
In his end-of-year press conference on Monday, Mahomes was asked about the feeling in the locker room after the loss. Mahomes said it was quiet and reflective — for about five minutes.
"I mean for like the first five minutes it was quiet," Mahomes said. "Guys were obviously taking everything in, falling short, and then it just turned to 'we’re going to be back. We’re going to be back in that game.' It’s not the end of something, it’s going to be another chapter, another chapter where we’re going to have to continue to drive to make ourselves better so that we’re back in that game."

Kansas City Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid 'Optimistic' About Offensive Line Group Moving Forward - Sports Illustrated Kansas City Chiefs News, Analysis and More

Feb 9, 2021
While the offensive line for the Kansas City Chiefs didn't have their best performance of the season in the Chiefs' 31-9 Super Bowl loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, head coach Andy Reid isn't ready to give up on them yet and said he remains "optimistic."
In his Monday press conference, Reid addressed the issues along the offensive line and said he wasn't going to blame the unit for the offense's struggles.
“Listen, I’m obviously not pointing my finger at the offensive line," Reid said. "I mean, we had guys that were moved around a little bit and they take great pride in their work and busted their tails."
