The military junta in Gabon has charged ousted President Ali Bongo's eldest son Noureddin Bongo Valentin with treason. Other people charged alongside are former presidential spokesman Jessye Ella Ekogha with four other close allies of the deposed leader. An AFP report published by Radio France Internationale quoted Libreville prosecutor Andre-Patrick Roponat as saying that they "have been charged and placed in provisional detention".
