UN Food Systems Summit +2 Stocktaking Moment, which takes place in Rome, Italy from 24–26 July, will address the urgent need to transform the global food systems.
The objectives of the Leadership Dialogue are to discuss the transformation of food systems to deliver healthy, sustainable and affordable diets as a pathway to ending hunger and malnutrition in all its forms for all people, contributing to achieving the SDGs.
The UN Food Systems Summit (UNFSS) garnered global attention to the need to transform our food systems to ensure they contribute positively to people’s nutrition and health, while protecting our planet. Countries submitted national pathways detailing their commitment and strategy towards food systems transformation. GLOPAN, CARE and WHO analyzed the pathways to determine how successfully health, nutrition, gender equality and systemic issues, including environmental and implementation policy actions were integrated into these pathways.
