The automatic transmission on the Tata Altroz will probably be a 7-speed dual clutch transmission and is likely to be paired with the 1.2L turbo-petrol engine.
Quite popular among Indian buyers, Tata Altroz is a premium hatchback with high safety ratings and excellent build quality.
“I think CNG is a segment which is going to grow in the coming years. This will be a subset of the petrol, because this is being triggered with the rising cost of petrol,” said Shailesh Chandra, Tata Motors President Passenger Vehicle.
Along with the CNG variants of the Tiago and Tigor, Tata Motors will also launch CNG versions of the Nexon, Altroz, and Punch.
It is expected to be launched alongside the Tigor CNG later this month
