Northeast BC Community Foundation invests an additional $80,000 towards local charities

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – The Northeast B.C. Community Foundation has invested an additional $80,000 from the Government of Canada’s Emergency Community Support Fund towards local charities and qualified donees supporting populations experiencing heightened vulnerability in the Peace Region.
In this second round, the Northeast B.C. Community Foundation has supported many projects which include:
$6,430 was invested to fund the Taylor Community Orchard & Gardens;
$3,775 was invested to fund Nawican Friendship Center, Emergency Temporary Homeless Shelter project;
$13,000 was invested to fund Obair Economic Society, Access to Technology and Employment Opportunities project;
$8,250 was invested to fund Special Olympics BC Dawson Creek, Athlete Connectivity project;
