Talon Energy (ASX:TPD) is edging closer to kicking off fieldwork at its Gurvantes XXXV Coal Seam Gas project in Mongolia, with an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) completed and lodged with the Mongolian government.
The project’s environmental impact assessment has now been lodged with the Mongolian ministry of nature, environment and tourism for review.
The project is situated around 20 km from the Chinese-Mongolian border and close to the northern China gas transmission and distribution network.
Talon Energy has commenced the community consultation process which is the final stage of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), and represents the final approval required before the drilling program at Gurvantes XXXV can commence. Drilling is scheduled to commence mid-first quarter 2022.
