The Punjab Police have foiled a terror plot by arresting three people from Tarn Taran and seizing three pistols. The arrested accused have been identified as Ashmpreet Singh of Noordi, Pardeep Singh and Sukhman. The police arrested the trio in a joint operation with the Counter Intelligence Wing and seized Rs 37,500 in cash from them.
Police said the accused were associates of Czech Republic-based Gurdev Singh Jaisel, a key operative of Canada-based terrorists Lakhbir Singh and Satbir Singh. | Latest News India
The arrested person is a Ph.D. scholar from the Central University of Kashmir and was working for terrorist organizations Hizbul Mujahideen and Jaish-e-Mohammed.
Five people suspected to be part of a terror module were arrested in Bengaluru, India.
