Joe Wright is out on the Potomac River every morning, weather permitted...but not to have a relaxing start to his day. Wright is there to collect trash and litter.
The Fairfax County man, who goes by SUP Garbage Man on Instagram, has been collecting trash from the Potomac River since 2019.
Altogether, it takes him about one hour to paddle out and fill a handful of bins with trash.
And this is not his only job. He does this in his free time before he heads to a full-time job where he works 40 hours a week.
His social media account is filled with pictures of the work he's done, and the trash he's collected.

Albeit it focuses on women, and why women lack confidence compared to men, it’s a great read for men as well. Finally, the book also and offers advice on how readers can increase their confidence.

MYM: VA Woman Is Spreading Positivity Through the Kindness Rocks Project | 97.1 WASH-FM

Margie Hunter, a Leesburg graphic artist yearned for an outlet during the COVID-age that would utilize her creativity and her empathy. While the rocks look bright and beautiful, it's the words on each of the stones that are inspiring friends and strangers searching for strength.
After a ton of diligent scrubbing, the rocks spend a little time drying in the sun before they get to wear coats of paint. From there, she gets to work in a dining room transformed several months ago into an art studio.
Back in August Hunter started The Kindness Rocks Project in her garden that runs along a popular walking trail in her neighborhood. The installation is located on Graywood Way NE in Leesburg, Virginia.

One Reston family is helping families stay connected with their little ones during a very stressful time.
Alison Stern was rushed into emergency cesarean surgery after her baby’s heartbeat started to drop.
As she recovered from the C-section in Reston, Virginia, Alison couldn’t hold her newborn in Washington, D.C, over 25 miles away. Though she could see him with a special camera in the neonatal intensive care unit room.
It was five days before Alison was able to hold Emerson for the first time. It was another two weeks before he was transferred to the Reston Hospital Center.
