Hospital beds, staffing shortages of tests, almost everything. it s tough for the system to handle this many cases at once but i think if there is a silver lining, it s when it comes down fast, it s likely to go down even more quickly. and we will what we will see is a, um, hopefully not nearly as severe. we will still see still see a lot of cases in hospitals. we will still see a lot of deaths but hopefully this will be much milder on a percentage basis than what we have seen with delta. let s hope. and as you know, president biden is revoking travel restrictions on southern african countries when the restriction wrs put in place late last month. as you know, the administration said at the time it was to buy time. but what do you think, andy? was that time wasted to some extent as far as ramping up testing capabilities? i mean, we are almost two years into this pandemic. isn t it a major problem that people are scrambling at drugstores and whatnot to find these tests? ....

Four times, there s always a lag when it comes to number of infections followed by the hospitalizations and then deaths. the county health department of course preparing for that, as is california and the mitigation strategy, again, is to cut it off where people are coming in. that s why they re setting up here today, katy. what about, gary, what s going on in washington, dc? i hear there s new masking mandates, there s also an effort to get people easier access to testing. hey there, katy. yeah, there s been a 350% increase in positive cases over the past two weeks here in dc. 4,000 cases that are positive here in dc over the past four days alone. so dc health is really scrambling to respond to this. part of what they re doing is increasing their testing capabilities. we re here at a testing site, this is a pcr testing site in the columbia heights section of dc. this is pcr testing which means they re not going to get the results, people in this line, for two to three days. ....
