15,000 job losses in 2020 A total of 52,850 people were employed from 2015 to 2019, taking employment figures from 698,528 to 742,378. Legislator Letsholo calls for citizen-owned bank

25th February 2021 Member of Parliament (MP) for Kanye North Thapelo Letsholo has said it is high time Botswana has a citizen-owned bank. “I challenge Bank of Botswana to seriously and intentionally facilitate the development of the first fully Botswana citizen -owned commercial bank in Botswana.
