Quite the opposite. i spent a week in america ten days ago, i went on eight or nine fox shows in the week and i expressed my honestly held opinions the entire time and they lapped it up. there was no pressure to be conservative or right—wing, but nor was there the pressure from me to play "you are all the devil". i don't think that, i have always liked rupert murdoch, i like him as a swashbuckling media visionary. that's not a view you'll hear at the bbc, but the bbc has its own problems, so much as you like to put your halos on, i look around the bbc sometimes and i think, "hmm, martin bash...
