December 23, 2020 Barbados recorded another two cases of COVID-19 on Monday, while six persons were released from isolation. The new cases are a 22-year-old male visitor, who arrived on British Airways on December 19; and a 21-year-old female visitor, who came in on British Airways on December 20. Both of them were asymptomatic, and tested positive on their second tests. December 23, 2020 Former pilots of regional airline LIAT have renewed their calls for severance payments and other outstanding money’s due to them to be paid. Saying that nine months had passed since hundreds of workers had been laid off by the airline which has gone into administration, president of the Leeward Islands Airline Association (LIALPA), Patterson Thompson, said he believes it is high time his members receive whatever money they are owed.
