COVID-19 Therapeutic Infusion Center to be Established in Lubbock

COVID-19 Therapeutic Infusion Center to Be Established in Lubbock
It's said that the infusion center will begin taking patients on Thursday, January 21st.
The center has been provided with Regeneron's monoclonal antibodies and Bamlanivimab to treat outpatient cases of COVID-19 who meet certain criteria and have referral from a hospital or doctor.
This infusion center has been established through a partnership with TDEM, the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Covenant Health System and UMC Health System.
Infusion therapy is recommended for patients who are unable to be treated effectively using oral medication, providing fluid medication directly into the vein.
"Thank you to our partners from the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Covenant Health System, and UMC Health System for working with TDEM to launch this new infusion center," said Governor Abbott.

Infusion Center Opens In Harlingen For COVID-19 Treatment – 710am KURV

There is new medical help for COVID-19 patients in the Valley. State and local officials have teamed up to establish a Therapeutic Infusion Center in Harlingen – specifically at the Casa de Amistad conference hall.
The Infusion Center will be used to treat COVID-19 patients who meet the right criteria with bamlanivimab. The drug has been shown to keep COVID patients with mild or moderate symptoms out of the hospital.
During the summer, Casa de Amistad was turned into an alternate care facility to ease the burden on hospitals in Cameron County that were overwhelmed as the coronavirus was ravaging the region. It is now operating as an Infusion Center through the efforts of the Texas Division of Emergency Management, the Cameron County Public Health Department, and the city of Harlingen.
