Australia Day Award winners announced
Devonport City Council Tasmania Devonport City Council honoured its Australia Day Award winners and new citizens at a ceremony held at the paranaple convention centre today. Devonport Mayor Annette Rockliff presented the following awards: Community Event of the Year: International Café, Young Citizen of the Year: Oliver Bailey, Citizen of the Year Award: Bruce and Alida Beattie and “Spirit of the City” Award: Dr Thomas Sayers. Mayor Rockliff also welcomed 11 new citizens to Devonport, who have come from the Philippines, China, Pakistan, South Africa, New Zealand, Chile, and Taiwan. Cr Ro...
