Indian corporates and banks have raised only Rs 795 crore through green bonds in the domestic market in FY23 and so far in FY24, less than half that of the previous year.
The bond sale, which had a base size of ₹5,000 crore, received bids worth ₹23,629.50 crore, NaBFID said. SBI Capital Markets was the lead advisor to the issue, while Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas was the legal advisor.
MUMBAI (Reuters) - National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development's (NaBFID) debut bond issue got bids nearly five times the size of its base issue and traders expect a similar response for future debt sales by India's newest infrastructure lender.
During the last three years, yields on corporate bonds climbed by over 100 bps across tenures, following the rate hike cycle by the RBI in May last year.
Both local bodies have invited bids to appoint the merchant bankers-cum-transaction advisors for their municipal bonds issue planned in the next few months.
