Levy lines up talks to sign defender as key detail gives Tottenham big edge

Date published: Saturday 3rd April 2021 11:23 - James Marshment
Tottenham are poised to hold new talks with Inter Milan in a bid to secure the summer signing of Milan Skriniar.
Jose Mourinho wanted to bring the Slovakia centre-back to the club last summer. Spurs offered a fee in the region of £30m, but Inter wanted more and turned down the approach. According to
Tuttomercatoweb, Tottenham have been closer to Skriniar than anyone else for months. But as yet a breakthrough remains a long way away. And now with the defender back in favour at Inter his price tag appears to have risen considerably.

Tottenham Hotspur hosted Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb in the first leg of their Europa League Round of 16 tie. Spurs didn’t look clinical at times, but did enough — Harry Kane scored a brace, Dinamo only had one real opportunity going forward, and Spurs picked up a solid 2-0 home win.
The North London Derby looms ahead this weekend for Tottenham Hotspur, and Jose Mourinho rotated for this European first leg accordingly, making seven changes from the team that started against Crystal Palace at the weekend. Only Hugo Lloris, Harry Kane, Son Heung-Min, and Davinson Sanchez retained their starting spots. Spurs had a central midfield pairing of Tanguy Ndombele and Moussa Sissoko, and rotated both fullbacks with Serge Aurier and Ben Davies coming in. Eric Dier replaced Toby Alderwiereld in the back line, and Erik Lamela and Dele got starts as well.

Is America the next Manchester United?

The Aggie
A great football club’s fall from grace offers a cautionary tale for the U.S.
Predicting what post-Trump America might look like is a difficult task. We don’t even know if we can call it the “post-Trump era” because we still don’t know whether President Donald Trump will stick around. Will he simply retreat back up his golden elevator and live out his days in Trump Tower, like Saruman? Or disappear into his showy, sultry, sticky, soon-to-be swamp at Mar-a-Lago, like Shrek?
Alternatively, becoming embroiled in legal trouble after leaving office, could fuel the sense of martyrdom that might motivate him to buy a television station like
