Mar 10, 2021 Shirley H. Benson, 82, of Jamestown, N.Y., passed away Monday, March 8, 2021, in her home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. A lifelong area resident, she was born on Nov. 5, 1938, in Jamestown, N.Y., a daughter of the late C. Albert and Florence Grant Hagstrom. Shirley was a 1956 graduate of Jamestown High School. She worked for the Bank of Jamestown and for Dr. Herbert White Jr. as a dental assistant prior to beginning her true lifelong career as an outstanding homemaker, loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother. Her family was most important to her and brought her great joy.
