2021 Las Vegas Raiders Schedule: Full Listing of Dates, Times and TV Info

Comments
Jack Dempsey/Associated Press
The Las Vegas Raiders are looking to improve upon an 8-8 regular season in Jon Gruden's fourth year as head coach.
The Silver and Black showed promise last year by starting 6-3 and defeating the AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs.
However, the Raiders—and their defense in particular—struggled down the stretch en route to a .500 finish. All seven of their final opponents scored 26 or more points.
Las Vegas has gotten better each season under Gruden, moving from 4-12 to 7-9 and then 8-8. The team will hope to finally achieve a winning season in this era as the league shifts to a 17-game regular-season schedule.

Yes, probably.

John, please tell me this rumor about the Jaguars considering Tim Tebow at tight end is a hoax.
There were multiple reports Thursday that the Jaguars worked out former University of Florida quarterback Tim Tebow as a tight end recently. Baalke confirmed the workout late Thursday. The Jaguars have not as of this writing signed Tebow, but the report is not a hoax.

Report Tim Tebow is trying out as tight end for the Jags! What is the realistic chance that happens? Also, if that does all we need is Blake Bortles to come back as our other tight end! Once that happens the other 31 NFL teams can just give up.

Round 1 2021 NFL Draft: Top Value Picks for Cardinals

Round 1 2021 NFL Draft: Top Value Picks for Cardinals

The term “value pick” has become the NFL pundits’ trendy descriptor when evaluating the potential impact a draftee can have on the team that drafts him.
The shortest way I can think of to explain what a “value pick” is —- it’s the player who checks off the most boxes in terms of what he is able to do for his side of the ball.
The more I started checking off boxes as they apply to each of the top prospects, it became increasingly clear to me that the player in the 2021 NFL Draft who could bring the most immediate and long-term value to the Arizona Cardinals is TCU defensive back, man-to-man and zone coverage star, Trevon Moehrig.

Dallas Cowboys Trades In NFL Draft: 4 Ideas For 'Wild-Cattin' Jerry'Jones - FanNation Dallas Cowboys News, Analysis and More

FRISCO - In the Jerry Jones era, his Dallas Cowboys have engineered 68 draft-time trades.
The math says his Cowboys are about to do it again. And here is the simplest reason why: Dallas owns 10 selections in the upcoming NFL Draft. That can be 10 throws of the dice, a greater volume of dice rolls meaning more chances to hit snake-eyes.
Or ... it can mean a packaging of picks - maybe more than once - to pinpoint on hoped-for quality.
Is it about risk-taking? Sometimes; that’s in the DNA nature of Wild-cattin’ Jerry.” But it can also be the result of the Trade Value Chart, an NFL-wide guideline to what equals what. (Also, by the way, an invention from the Jerry Era.)

It is becoming annoying with all the talk about 3-4 and 4-3! Don't the fans know that the new defense will have 11 men on the line to rush the passer?
Ah, you jest – but there understandably remains much interest in the Jaguars' defensive scheme. I spoke to Jaguars defensive coordinator Joe Cullen about this for a story that will post on Jaguars.com in the coming days. I specifically asked how he would describe the defense, and would it be a 3-4 or 4-3 scheme. He said while it will have elements of a 3-4 in some situations it also will have elements of a 4-3 in other situations. He said there will be many different looks and personnel groupings based on circumstance. There will be times, for example, when linebackers Myles Jack, Joe Schobert and defensive ends/linebackers K'Lavon Chaisson and Josh Allen play at the same time – and there will be other times when those four players aren't on the field at the same time. This will be based on situations and the approach of the opponent. Cullen's biggest emphasis throughout the conversation was that the scheme will be aggressive – and that generally speaking, how much it gears toward a traditional "3-4" or "4-3" will depend largely upon the Jaguars' personnel. That means he knows more about specifically how it will look now than he did two months ago before free agency, but that he doesn't know as much about how it will look now as he will after the draft later this month. The key word to describe the defense? Hybrid. So as much as observers and fans want to fit the defense neatly into a specific idea of "scheme," that's simply not possible. More importantly, it's not accurate.

Tom not being derogatory, then why even bring up such a thing as a man's hair?
It's April 6 and Round 1 of the 2021 NFL Draft is 23 days away. It's going to be a long, long three weeks. And two days.

I know some fans have been intrigued with Trevon Moehrig. But what is your assessment of Jarrod Wilson? Do you think his play warrants a starting position? It seems that he flies under the radar.
Safety is intriguing for the Jaguars in this draft for multiple reasons. First, as you note, Texas Christian safety Trevor Moehrig is projected as the best player at his position in the class – and he is projected by many analysts to be available at No. 25; that makes it a nice potential fit for value, and value is important to Jaguars General Manager Trent Baalke. Also intriguing is that while the Jaguars could select safety early, they're far from barren enough at the position that they have to take one in the first or second round. Wilson is a big reason. While it's conceivable the Jaguars could select a safety early to start alongside the newly signed Rayshawn Jenkins, Wilson has started the last two seasons and has been solid and reliable. He indeed flies under the radar, and he's the sort of player you want on your roster: Smart, reliable, usually in good position. It wouldn't be surprising if the Jaguars select a safety, but if they don't, he can play effectively at the position for another season.
