SRINAGAR, MAY 14 (KNS): To avoid an unnecessary rush at tertiary care hospitals and ensure proper treatment to the Covid-19 positive patients with heavy viral load or severe symptoms, the government has established Triage Centres for the convenience of the public and to avoid panic and chaos besides helping smooth referrals to main hospitals.
Throwing light about the benefits of these Triage Centres, the Nodal Officer, Triage Centre NIT Hazratbal, Srinagar, Dr Idris today stated that Triage centres help proper screening,  management and referrals of Covid-19 patients..

SRINAGAR: Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammed Aijaz Asad Tuesday said that district administration is working on war footing basis to break the chain of transmission of corona virus infection in Srinagar.
While giving details, the Deputy Commissioner said administration is making all out efforts to ensure strict adherence to Covid-19 SOPs like wearing of masks, hand hygiene and maintenance of social distancing.
Deputy Commissioner said vaccination drive has also been launched across the district to cover more and more people.

Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on Tuesday launched an innovative OxyBus service to aid Covid-19 patients during emergencies. Each makeshift OxyBus supports up to eight patients, he said. "20 such units will be set up near Govt Hospitals and Triage Centres in Bengaluru, and more units will be set up across the state", Yediyurappa said.

After some Class X students tested COVID-19 positive on April 29, Ravi Kumar (41), a biology teacher at the municipal high school at Nagari was gripped with fear.
Mr. Kumar, who has a physical challenge from polio, had travelled 20 km from home to the school several days last month. The fact that three of his colleagues had succumbed to COVID had whipped up his worst fears.
