India will do its best to promote South-South cooperation, which has become even more important at present because of the COVID-19 pandemic, India's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ruchira Kamboj has said at an event.

VIENNA, 12 September 2022 – South-South and Triangular Cooperation leads to greater innovation as it provides opportunities for developing countries to learn from each other and to share best practices.  In recognition of the role of South-South and Triangular Cooperation, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) of the People’s Republic of China have agreed to boost South-South and Triangular Industrial cooperation (SSTIC).

Thailand has been commended for sharing lessons learned in combatting illegal unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing, during the opening of the Global South-South Development (GSSD) Expo 2022 in Bangkok on Monday.
